Lavoo
About "Lavoo" Showcase
It was developed on the Zikula platform using all custom modules (written by me).. Lavoo is a free social dating site with groups, friends, events, walls, discussion forums, live chat, comments, media sharing, YouTube and Flickr API's and much more!I really took advantage of everything in the toolbox.. lots of ajax, and things using Prototype and Scriptolisus.. along with innovative design.
The site is currently in beta with about 300 users. The front-page you see now is temporary, and will be replaced with a new social exterior within the next week.
We are currently seeking VC in the Silicon Valley, and having you do a case study could help us a lot. I am a huge fan of Zikula! Without it, I don't think my partner and I could have done this alone. We are just a programmer and a designer, and it took a year of full-time work. We're absolutely poor now, literally not metaphorically, so anything you could help with would be great! As soon as we solve our financial problems through VC or profitability, we will proudly and generously support the Zikula Foundation. That is a promises and a guarantee! We have 3 more sites we wish to develop that will truly push the envelope in terms of Zikula's capabilities/possibilities.

Less is more! Don't get distracted by the minmalistic design, because this site shows how comprehensive content management capabilities can be combined with many nice details. For example there are several articles linked together, using predefined layout areas for different purposes. MultiHook is used for a glossary and custom template plugins are adapted in order to achieve certain functionality as for example random header images.Additional Information
