What a wonderful day :-)

Contributed by rallek on Jan 21, 2014 - 06:58 AM

I am happy and proud to show my very first module! Of course it is a simple one. But see yourself: VerySimpleDownload

This is made with ModuleStudio. I have to say it is really easy. A lot of community members know me as a user. And I am still only a user. But I can now create my own module :-).

How did I proceed with my module? First I made the model with the current version of ModuleStudio. It do have an outdated generator but the webgen is available to provide me actual code. So I generated my module there. This is my guarantee to have the latest code running for 1.3.6.

Formicula 3.1.0 released

 • The forms templates now use the .tpl extension instead of .html - Update your own forms please
 • More customization per form possible
 • File attachments work again
thanks also to nmpetkov, lmm-git and drummer3333.

Please see the closed tickets for a list of fixes and additions. And the project page for more on HTML5

Reviews also under Zikula 1.3.5

Contributed by portugao on Aug 04, 2013 - 07:43 PM

After the module with the version 2.4 was not qualified for Zikula 1.3.5 and was only developed sporadically, Reviews now is there with the version 2.4.1.

The reason for that is a request of an user on Github and the circumstance that Reviews is not so complex.

Newsletter 3.0.0 released

Contributed by cmf on May 15, 2013 - 03:51 AM

For my own website I needed a newsletter plugin. I found the module of @dmm1 (), but it wasn't ready for Zikula 1.3.X and many functions were buggy. That's why I started working on this module for 5 months now. Some time after I began to work on it, @nmpetkov () began to work on it too. In just about five months, 150 issues were opened and fixed by about 150 pull-requests. Many new features were added, more than 40.000 lines were changed: .

First version of a TCPDF SystemPlugin for Zikula released

Contributed by cmf on Mar 02, 2013 - 12:16 AM

I wrote a SystemPlugin for TCPDF. Today the plugins isn't used by any module, but this may change :). Advantages:

 • If multiple modules use TCPDF, there is an extra version of TCPDF in each module. That's 18,5MB per module!
 • The TCPDF Plugin automatically includes the right config- and languagefiles
 • The TCPDF version can be updated independently from the module.
Developers can download the first version of the plugin here:

Have fun trying out and submit issues and pull requests!

I am thankful to give the community a new version of PostCalendar that incorporates new technologies that are available as Zikula Core improves. In addition new requested features such as special repeating event options and import of data from the TimeIt module have been added. The use of jQuery-UI has made many aspects of the module better - especially the new event form! Also a new iCal view is available!

PostCalendar 8.0.0 requires Zikula >= 1.3.5 (or 1.3.3 with updated jquery_datepicker plugin - see below**)

 • Fully native Doctrine2-based module
 • jQuery-UI utilized heavily to improve ease of use in the UI
 • NEW repeating event options: continuous and repeat-exceptions
 • NEW import of TimeIt data (thanks espaan!)
 • NEW iCal export and subscription-provision. (thanks evert!)
 • Removed use of Date_Calc lib and all date calculations moved to native php DateTime objects
 • Module much more OOP-based. All user views (including blocks) now OOP instead of procedural
 • Refactored Query/Request objects to Zikula 1.3.3 standards
 • A lot of code duplication completely removed.
